چکیده
Combining a current source involving vortical surface currents in the set of Maxwell’s equations offers functional framework to address complex phenomena electromagnetic turbulence. The field structure exhibit fluid behavior with associated viscosity and reveal that field, as fluid, shows turbulent properties. This is an entirely new mechanism, investigated for first time best our knowledge. fluidic–electromagnetic analogy implies diffraction analog phenomenon EM method clarifies role generating turbulence classical fractal-like optical devices suggests norms design suitable plasmon circuity control stealth technology propulsion machines.

Impurity transport due to electromagnetic drift wave turbulence
Finite β effects on impurity transport are studied through local linear gyrokinetic simulations with gyro [J. Candy and E. Belli, General Atomics Report GA-A26818 (2011)]; in particular we investigate the parametric dependences of the impurity peaking factor (zero-flux density gradient) and the onset of the kinetic ballooning modes (KBM). We find that electromagnetic effects even at low β can h...
متن کاملSpectral Properties of Electromagnetic Turbulence in Plasmas
We report on the nonlinear turbulent processes associated with electromagnetic waves in plasmas. We focus on low-frequency (in comparison with the electron gyrofrequency) nonlinearly interacting electron whistlers and nonlinearly interacting Hall-magnetohydrodynamic (H-MHD) fluctuations in a magnetized plasma. Nonlinear whistler mode turbulence study in a magnetized plasma involves incompressib...
متن کاملZonal Flows and Electromagnetic Drift Wave Turbulence
Detailed computations of tokamak edge turbulence in three dimensional, globally consistent flux tube geometry show an inhibition of the standard scenario in which zonal ExB flows generated by the turbulence should lead to transport barrier formation. It is found by comparison to slab geometry and by analysis of the energetics that the zonal flow energy is depleted by toroidal coupling to the pr...
متن کاملA New Approach to Computational Turbulence Modeling
We present a new approach to Computational Fluid Dynamics CFD using adaptive stabilized Galerkin finite element methods with duality based a posteriori error control for chosen output quantities of interest. We address the basic question of computability in CFD: For a given flow, what quantity is computable to what tolerance to what cost? We focus on incompressible Newtonian flow with medium to...
متن کاملNew Perspectives in Turbulence
An analysis of the mean velocity profile in the intermediate region of wall-bounded turbulence shows that the well-known von Karman-Prandtl logarithmic law of the wall must be jettisoned in favor of a power law. An analogous analysis of the local structure of turbulence shows that the Kolmogorov-Obukhov scaling of the second and third structure functions is exact in the limit of vanishing visco...
